“This is a very rare opportunity for young people like us to be recognized and given the chance to participate in both organizing and the official businesses of this Convention specially conducted only every 5 years.A large proportion of the unemployed have high school education (44.5% or 1.247 M) or reached college (34.8% or 0.975 M) and young people are often the subjects of abuse in the workplace. Thus we see organizing young people as labor advocates a necessary and appropriate action to empower ourselves.” – Ellirie Aviles, SKC President
